New York City Cinematic Tour/Vlog
To say that New York City is my favorite American city will be the understatement of the century and do a major dis-service to the amount of love in my heart for this remarkable place! I will never forget my first visit! I was in awe of it’s beauty, hustle, and scale! Everything in New York City seems massive! The way the buildings tower over you seems so much larger than life! Now, as an adult, this city still seems larger than life! Each time I return my love for New York City is reignited! I always find myself sad that I don’t actually reside permanently there. What a dream it would be to call New York City home! On this particular trip Cayle and I made a point to visit as many neighborhoods as possible and really get off the beaten path! That is, after all, where you find the best culture in NYC! Not to knock on the ordinary tourist traps...sure see the Statue of Liberty, walk down time square, these are all great things to do once...but, make sure you take some time to explore! There’s a huge difference in visiting a place for entertainment and allowing yourself to become part of that place. The best way to discover NYC is by embracing it completely! Take the subway! Walk around the upper west side and let it’s charm WOW you! Go to DUMBO and sit for a bit in the green space between the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge! Sample some of the delicious fare down Bleecker Street! Take a stroll through Maddison Square Park and make a bistro table your own for an hour! Listen to the cars go by and see the city come alive! When you get off the beaten path, New York City will really come to life and make your travel experience personal to you and serve your memories so much better!
